SPEAKER BIOS:

FRANK D. REAL, CALIFORNIA PROBATE REFEREE

Mr. Real was first appointed as a California Probate Referee in 1997. Mr. Real began his valuation career in 1989 with The Lawrence Group. Since 1994, Mr. Real has been self-employed as the principal and owner of Real Appraisal Services. Mr. Real’s appraisal practice focuses on the valuation of probate, conservatorship and guardianship assets for the San Diego County Superior Court. Mr. Real also provides valuation services for private trust matters concentrating on residential, commercial and vacant real property. Mr. Real holds Bachelors degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Real has been licensed as a California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser since 1992 and as a California Real Estate Sales Licensee since 1988.


STEVEN J. PAULL CALIFORNIA PROBATE REFEREE

Mr. Paull was appointed as a California Probate Referee in 1989 per California Probate Code Section 400-408 and Code Section 16247. He has been valuing probate and trust assets including residential and commercial real property since 1989 for the Superior Court, arbitration / litigation matters and for estate planning basis adjustments , gift and estate tax returns. Mr. Paull has valued over 4,000 properties since 1989. Mr. Paull holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from The University of Connecticut and a Masters degree in Business with an emphasis in Real Estate from The Hass School of Business at The University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Paull is a CPA and holds a California Real Estate Broker' s License. He has taught real estate finance and valuation courses at the University of California, San Diego and to the California Probate Referee Association Members.
