CALDA Lobby Day - February 4, 2026

February 12, 2026 3:31 PM | Maggie Campbell (Administrator)

A STATEWIDE VOICE. A UNIFED PURPOSE. A TRANSFORMATIVE DAY FOR LDAS IN CALIFORNIA.

On February 4, 2026, the California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) demonstrated what is possible when preparation, professionalism, and purpose come together. Under the strategic guidance of our legislative advocates Precision Advocacy, a 15‑member CALDA delegation—representing Northern, Central, and Southern California—gathered at the State Capitol with a clear mission:

To elevate awareness of the LDA profession and build lasting relationships with California’s policymakers

WHAT UNFOLDED WAS NOTHING SHORT OF EXTRAORDINARY...

A UNIFIED STATEWIDE DELEGATION

CALDA’s delegation was intentionally structured into three regional teams, ensuring that every corner of California had a voice in the room. This statewide representation sent a powerful message:

LDAs are essential, accessible, and deeply rooted in the communities they serve.

NINETEEN LEGISLATIVE MEETINGS. ONE CLEAR MESSAGE.

Across the day, CALDA members met with 19 legislators and staff, engaging in meaningful conversations about the vital role LDAs play in expanding access to justice for everyday Californians.

Each team arrived fully prepared with professional information packets telling the CALDA story—our history, our mission, and our commitment to consumer empowerment.

BUT THE TRUE IMPACT CAME FROM OUR MEMBERS THEMSELVES...

AUTHENTIC VOICES. REAL STORIES. PROVEN CREDIBILITY.

CALDA members shared firsthand examples of the diverse services LDAs provide and the lives they touch. These were not abstract policy discussions—they were real stories from trusted professionals who serve Californians every day.

Their authenticity, credibility, and lived experience created a level of connection that no brochure alone could achieve.

A SUCCESSFUL DAY THAT BUILDS A LONGTERM FOUNDATION

CALDA’s Lobby Day was more than a series of meetings—it was a strategic investment in long‑term relationships with policymakers. The delegation left a strong impression of a profession that is organized, informed, and ready to collaborate on solutions that benefit the public.

This momentum positions CALDA to play a more influential role in shaping policy conversations in the months and years ahead.

THE POWER OF PARTNERSHIP

This success was made possible through the professionalism and guidance of Precision Advocacy, whose expertise will continue to ensure that CALDA’s message is delivered with clarity, confidence, and strategic impact.

Our partnership amplifies CALDA’s voice and helped to create a day that will be remembered as a turning point for the organization’s legislative presence.

INSPIRATION FOR THE ROAD AHEAD

February 4th proved something essential:  When CALDA members stand together—prepared, united, and purpose‑driven—there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

THIS LOBBY DAY WAS NOT THE END OF A JOURNEY...

It was the beginning of a stronger, more visible, and more influential CALDA.

TOGETHER, WE ARE SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THE LDA PROFESSION IN CALIFORNIA.
